Good afternoon All,
It is with great pride and excitement that I am announcing Jeff Butler’s promotion to Vice President of Technology for Improvix.
What does this mean? In their non-billable capacity, our technical directors, practice managers, and leads will all report up to Jeff as the VP of Technology. He oversees the company’s IT investments; leads corporate proof of concepts & demos; solutions and architects proposals for new work; identifies and implements tech labs; modernizes, enhances, and strengthens our Technology offerings and capabilities; provides mentorship, coaching, and guidance to our team; and provides corporate reach-back for innovations and delivery for our customers.
When does this take effect? Jeff is ready and excited to roll up his sleeves, come onsite, and assist you and your team. Over the next few months, he will transition out of his day-to-day role supporting VMWare and Veteran Affairs. He will be working from the Reston headquarters, integrating himself into our programs, and presenting himself as a corporate resource for our customers.
What does the “VP of Technology” position entail? Many of you may know Jeff as ‘the mobile guy’. And, he is, but that doesn’t do him justice. Jeff knows VDI, networking, storage, cloud migration, help desk triage, communicating technical details to leadership, security, and yes, everything mobile – from AirWatch to ZenMobile to MobileIron. He is Improvix’s official lead on all things that require technical solutioning. Whenever you find yourself stuck in a difficult situation – unsure how to resolve a storage issue, or hitting a brick wall on a network engineering issue, or struggling to articulate a complex technical issue to your GS-14 or GS-15 – you, your team lead, and/or program manager should reach out to Jeff for his assistance. He will help troubleshoot and propose innovative solutions to meet your customers’ needs.
On a personal level, Jeff has been with Improvix for over 5 years and I’ve seen him achieve incredible success innovating and delivering complex solutions for multiple federal clients. He is easy to talk to; he’s inherently calm, listens, and offers compelling advice to anyone who asks for his help. He is a humble guy who loves his family and I know he’ll be a huge asset for our teams and their continued success across all of our programs. Please join me in congratulating his much-deserved new role with our growing company!
